Communications missteps and misunderstandings can easily occur. If left unresolved or improperly addressed these missteps and misunderstandings can be the source of escalating tensions that may lead to workplace violence. Employees equipped with essential communication tools and training in how to handle difficult situations will have greater confidence in their ability to deal with any uncomfortable or stressful conversations. Succesfully addressing conflicts or communication issues will lead to greater productivity and teamwork, a more congenial work environment, and better customer service.
 
Participants completing this workshop will be able to:
  • Understand the 5 skills of non-defensive communication
  • Properly assess the cause of workplace conflicts
  • Select an appropriate communication strategy to deal with a conflict
  • Utilize the 5 step guide to conflict resolution
